Terms of service

The basis on which AutoVet provides research and advisory guidance.

Last updated: 15 July 2026

1. About AutoVet's service

AutoVet provides independent research, education and advisory guidance relating to learning-to-drive journeys, used-car selection, online listings and general car ownership. The specific paid deliverables and support period are those confirmed in writing for the selected plan.

2. What the service is not

AutoVet is not a driving school, vehicle dealer, broker, lender, insurer, legal adviser, breakdown service, repair garage or physical inspection provider. Guidance does not replace a qualified inspection, diagnosis, repair, professional driving instruction or official government service.

3. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for supplying accurate information, checking original documents, verifying the identity and condition of a vehicle, arranging appropriate insurance and inspection, and making the final driving, purchasing, payment and maintenance decisions.

4. Recommendations and online information

Recommendations are based on the information available at the time and the brief supplied. Online adverts, MOT histories and third-party reports may be incomplete or incorrect. A recommended model can still be a poor individual vehicle because of condition, history or previous repair.

5. Prices and payment

Prices shown on the website apply to the stated scope unless AutoVet confirms otherwise. Payment links may be provided through Stripe or another provider. AutoVet will confirm when a paid service begins and any information required to complete it.

6. Cancellations and refunds

Any applicable cancellation rights and service-specific refund arrangements will be provided at checkout or order confirmation. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded. If you request that a service begins during a statutory cancellation period, AutoVet may ask for the confirmation required by law.

7. Timing and customer availability

Any delivery estimate depends on receiving the necessary brief, links and responses. Pro support is limited to the period and scope confirmed for that order and is not an unlimited or emergency service.

8. Third parties

AutoVet may link to government services, vehicle-history providers, payment processors, garages or directories. Those organisations control their own services and terms. A link or discussion does not amount to a guarantee, employment relationship or commission arrangement unless clearly stated.

9. Liability

AutoVet does not guarantee that a vehicle will be safe, legal, fault-free or reliable. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to those protections and applicable consumer law, AutoVet is responsible only for losses that are a reasonably foreseeable result of failing to provide the agreed advisory service with reasonable care and skill.

10. Contact and complaints

Contact info@autovet.co.uk with questions or complaints. Include the order or enquiry reference and a clear description of the issue.

These terms should be reviewed by a suitable UK legal professional before enabling paid checkout, particularly the business identity, cancellation process, refunds and liability wording.
