General information and advisory guidance
Website content and AutoVet reports are general information and advisory research based on the information available. They do not constitute legal, financial, insurance, engineering or professional mechanical advice.
Vehicle condition
AutoVet does not physically inspect vehicles and cannot verify hidden faults, roadworthiness, safety, identity, legal status or future reliability. Arrange an appropriate independent inspection and verify original documents before purchasing.
Learning to drive
AutoVet is not a driving school, instructor, DVLA or DVSA. Use GOV.UK for current legal requirements, applications and test bookings, and use a suitable instructor for driving tuition.
Maintenance and warning signs
Online maintenance content is not diagnosis. If a warning light, tyre issue, braking or steering change, overheating, smoke, burning smell or other symptom may make a vehicle unsafe, stop safely where possible, consult the handbook and obtain appropriate breakdown or professional assistance.
Garages and third parties
AutoVet does not employ, accredit or guarantee garages listed by third-party directories. External websites control their own information, availability and terms. Links are supplied for convenience and context.
Information changes
Rules, fees, vehicle data, service schedules, listings and third-party services can change. Check the current primary source before acting. AutoVet aims to correct material errors brought to its attention but cannot promise that every page is continuously current.
Final decisions
The customer remains responsible for driving, viewing, inspection, purchasing, payment, insurance, tax, repair and garage-selection decisions.
Use an appropriate recovery, breakdown or qualified professional service.
